Starting With a Concrete Vision

Tripp Bishop, founder of Bishop Consulting Services LLC, came to Emerge in need in a logo to perfectly represent his business. Not only a construction consultant, but an asphalt, concrete, and engineering construction company, Bishop needed a design that could capture it all. He tried to design his own logo, but found that he didn’t have the time and that his design skills were better suited for engineering construction, not graphics. 

After a brand discovery session, Bishop was able to emphasize what he was looking to convey to his audience about his business. His core values of having integrity and being dependable  He also needed to show how he offers experience, professionalism, and honesty, especially in an age where he describes how, “other consultants treat their clients af if they like just another ticket at the DMV.”

Constructing a Logo

To convey his identity, one of our designers, Jon Otero, created a logo with a modern, clean typeface. He also incorporated colors of blue an orange, representing professionalism and excitement, respectively. The colors also pay homage to University of Virginia, where Bishop had graduated. 

Bishop had previously ordered simpler two-sided business cards, but was so happy with the results of the logo, that he upgraded to heavy stock business cards and also purchased our Small Business Startup Package.
